About celebrate! Food

Born out of an insatiable passion for food, Celebrate! Food is Chef Peter Shelsky’s second culinary concept.  Chef Peter’s first venture, Pete’s Eats opened its doors in 2004 offering in-home Cooking Classes and Instructional Cooking Parties, as well as a High End Catering Service. Chef Peter’s decision to spawn his latest endeavor is steeped in his commitment to expand and focus on the catering side of the business with the same vigor with which he shares his vast knowledge and respect for great food.

He has over a decade of combined restaurant, catering, food media, and fine dining experience.  Chef Peter has worked with Chef Kurt Gutenbrunner at Wallse Restaurant, Café Sabarsky and for Danny Meyer at Eleven Madison Park.  In addition, he has cooked along side many of America’s most celebrated Chefs at the Food Network, and honed his catering skills at Abigail Kirsch Productions at their Chelsea Piers location. 

Celebrate! Food's mission is simple…  Through our superior hospitality and culinary acumen, we are committed to applying our passion for outstanding food, made from real ingredients to help you Celebrate!   

What we believe distinguishes Celebrate! Food from the countless other New York Area caterers is our attention to detail:

• From Home Style Ricotta Cheese, Hand Cut Pasta, Authentic Masa Tortillas, to Terrines of Foie Gras…we make all of our food from scratch! 

• We never use processed food products of any kind in our food preparation.

• Our commitment to using small, local and/or organic farms and producers touches the very core of Celebrate! Food's mission statement.

• Ordinary banquet style food is offlimits in our kitchens.  Chef Peter Shelsky’s classic French Culinary training, combined with his Austrian Culinary background and love of Ethnic Cuisines from around the world, give our food the unique quality of an intimate fine dining experience in a venue that suits your vision of the quintessential catering event.
